Chassis

My Bible

This is a five part article series aimed at those that wish to scratchbuild or kitbash large scale engines.  Shad Pulley was nice enough to put it up at the MyLargeScale.com web site.  When complete, it will be made up of five chapters plus an introduction.

bulletIntroduction - lays out the thought process for the series and provides links to the five chapters.
bulletChapter 1 - This chapter's focus is on how to go about prototype research.  The research section has a heavy focus on how to use the Web.  There are many resource links in this chapter to other sites on the Web.
bulletChapter 2 - This chapter lays out the process of defining your project.  It also provides tools for filling in key information your research may not have turned up.  Chapter 2 is scheduled for release in mid-November 2003.
bulletChapter 3 - This chapter focuses on the decision as to the drive train to use as your project starting point.  Along with this chapter will be a Drive Train Resource that I'll try to keep up to date on drive trains that may be suitable for scratch/bash projects.
bulletChapter 4 - This chapter will focus on building your engine's infrastructure.  Along with the chapter will be a resource list of parts suppliers for key infrastructure components.
bulletChapter 5 - This chapter will focus on detailing.  Along with this chapter will be a resource list on sources of detailing components.
