Sausalito DocksAfter the loss of the steamer Sausalito in 1884, the Sausalito docks became the primary NPC docks on the other side of the Golden Gate in San Francisco. PrototypeThe following is a track plan for these docks dated in 1900.
Because of their importance, these docks went through a number of upgrades over the years. Here's a photo from 1884.
The following passenger shed was constructed in 1894.
After the NPC became the North Shore in 1902, new management tore down the passenger shed and upgraded services. A new home office and terminal was constructed. Modifications appear in this photo from 1904.
This colorized photo from a color postcard shows the Sausalito docks in 1909.
Model RailroadThis portion of the layout will be built inside the metal shed. The following is a plan of the dock area of the inside of the layout.
