 | Trackage1 - The trackage in this section includes the main line from
Sausalito to San Anselmo, the San Anselmo Junction and yards, the branch
line from San Anselmo to San Rafael, the San Rafael yards, and the branch
line from San Rafael to San Quentin Landing. San Quentin Landing will
extend into a water feature scheduled for construction in the spring of
2008. So this line will be connected to the main line heading out of
San Anselmo and running through the lower tunnel. This temporary
connection will allow for continuous loop operation in the summer of 2007. |
 | Howe Truss Bridge - This bridge will allow the branch line from San
Anselmo to San Rafael to pass over the stream portion of the water feature
planned for the summer of 2008. The bridge piers will be constructed
as part of road bed construction (Trackage 1) and the bridge assembled and
placed in the fall of 2007. |
 | Corte Madera Tunnel - The main line will enter the house through a
basement window protected by a culvert. The culvert will be covered by
a hill. The train will pass through a tunnel in the hill, The Corte
Madera Tunnel. |
 | San Anselmo Yards - The yard trackage will be laid as part of the
Trackage 1 project. Structures were very limited in San Anselmo in the
period being modeled and will focus primarily on railroad structures.
These will be built in the winter of 2007-8 for installation in the Spring
of 2008. |
 | Water Feature - The water feature will run along the main line through
San Anselmo. The stream will represent San Anselmo Creek. The lower
pond will serve as the water surrounding San Quentin Landing. This
water feature is scheduled for the Spring of 2008. |
 | Trackage 2 - This project will extend the branch line from San Rafael
coming through the lower tunnel to San Quentin Landing. The landing
will be constructed as part of this project. The loop created in
Trackage 1 will continue to exist but in a modified form, allowing the main
line to enter the lower part of the railroad. |
